Off the Starting Blocks....

Hello all - It’s been an exciting month here at Tesla Studios...

Pete (Dexys) Williams has wrapped up album number 2 and it's off for mastering at Norfolk based Philosophers Barn - Now available to all who pledged and out on general release in the near future. We are extremely proud and flattered Pete chose Tesla Studios to record this album, It's a great sounding collection of songs that really highlights the high caliber of his writing set alongside the great musicianship of Dean Beresford & Shez Sheridan (Richard Hawley's band),  Mick Talbot (Style Council, Paul Weller etc) and Clive Mellor who has supplied harmonica for Richard Hawley. Produced by Mike Timm - it's set to be a sonic masterpiece.

Immingham's own Ming City Rockers unleashed their debut album yesterday. It's been critically well received with a string of great reviews in Q, NME and Classic Rock Magazine; "One of 2014's exciting new bands and debut albums. A magnificent racket".... It's a real raw and energetic album - get it now from your local HMV or click here.

The title track from Michael Malarkey’s forthcoming EP 'Feed The Flames' is released today on iTunes after seeing its debut yesterday on Billboard.com (they do the U.S charts!) ...http://bit.ly/1uAzQn5. Look out for the EP release 12th of October.

Sheffield band 'Whispering Dolls' also visited us this month to record and film a live track. It was a treat to have 'em around and we can’t wait to see the footage - Keep your eyes peeled for that!

In other exciting news, Sheffield's newest bar venue 'Picture House Social' is opening this week and will be home to a regular Friday night ‘Tesla Sessions’, an eclectic mix of Americana, Blues and Garage Rock amongst all other kinds of noise and nonsense. This new haunt is going to an awesome place to spend your Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights - be sure to check out fellow DJ's Tom J Newell and Ash Plenty Vibes own 'Picture House Social Presents...'
